Little Giant is one of those places that from the moment you walk in you just want to love it. With tons of natural light, pillows in most of the seating areas and a decidedly low key EV attitude, it embodies bohemian chic. If only the food were as perfect as the space itself.
If you happen to find your way to a table during lunch/brunch, you should know that the pig in a poke (grits with poached eggs and andouille sausage) is very popular as is the fisherman’s breakfast (fish cakes with poached eggs). Don’t miss the Stumptown coffee, which makes for great espresso drinks.
The comfort food with a twist is carried into dinner with such dishes as the grafton mac and cheese with bacon, maple roasted brussel sprouts, short ribs (tasty) and a delightful duck confit with talegio polenta. Many of my friends have raved about this place. I keep trying it expecting my pulse to quicken when I find the right dish to take me over the edge, but as of yet everything has been just fine.
